Accessibility
I want Khounkham.org to be accessible and usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology or how they access the web.
As the website develops, I aim to follow recognized accessibility practices and improve the accessibility of its content, design and navigation.
What I am doing
-
I aim to make the website easier to use by:
-
maintaining clear and consistent navigation;
-
using readable typography and sufficient color contrast;
-
providing meaningful alternative text for relevant images;
-
using headings and page structure that support navigation and assistive technologies;
-
making links and interactive elements clear and understandable;
-
designing pages to work across desktop, tablet and mobile devices; and
-
avoiding unnecessary visual or interactive complexity.
Where charts, diagrams or other visual material communicate important information, I aim to provide sufficient accompanying text so that the main ideas are not dependent on the image alone.
Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As I add new articles, images and features to Khounkham.org, I will continue to review the site and make improvements where practical.
Some content or third-party services may not yet provide the same level of accessibility as the rest of the website.
